glchess software package provides chess game with 3D graphics for GNOME (transitional package), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install glchess
glchess is installed in your system.
Make ensure the glchess package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep glchess *
You will get with glchess package name, version, architecture and description in a table
